Legal guarantee notice
Standard notice on the legal guarantee of conformity at the point of sale.
A short mandatory notice telling the buyer that the goods come with a legal guarantee of conformity, shown in the purchase flow. Small in size, visible on every checkout, and new enough that no platform renders it natively.

- Regulation (EU) 2025/1960
- Who it binds
- Sellers of consumer goods to consumers in the EU, from 27 September 2026. A standardised notice about the legal guarantee of conformity has to be presented before the purchase is concluded.
- Who is exempt
- Business-to-business sales. Digital content and services follow their own conformity rules.
- Penalty
- National consumer-protection enforcement and, in Germany, Abmahnung under the UWG.
